Nat Cassidy somehow made a short story collection feel cohesive without making every story feel the same, which I honestly loved.

Each story does something completely different, but they all had this underlying feeling of unease that kept pulling me forward. Some were unsettling, some were emotional, and some just made me sit there afterward like ??? but I never hit a point where I wanted to stop reading.

My favorite thing about this collection was how familiar everything felt before it turned into something else. A rest stop, an apartment, a conversation, a yoga retreat, a series of emails. All normal things that slowly become uncomfortable in ways that feel just believable enough.

Definitely one of those collections that reminded me why I love horror short stories so much.
